Finding the best copper piping prices on the net

By Anthony Inokin

What type of difference are you likely to find regarding copper piping prices? What is the difference between the pricing of copper pipes and how does the quality or type of copper piping depict what price you will pay? Both legitimate questions for the home handy man and professional tradesman alike. Not all copper piping is the same.

Sure, you can go forward and assume that any copper piping you wish to purchase will be ok to repair your leaking refrigerator. Oh, you have some left over, time to finish off that nice new bathroom extension - think again.

Different forms of copper piping are generally depicted with a letter. K, M and L type copper piping all fulfil very different functions. These forms all have treated equivalents which you will be paying more for, treated copper piping helps to reduce the need for the copper piping to be flushed thoroughly and the metal is also treated to help reduce corrosion - the extra price tag is generally worth it. It is generally not required that you get some sort of treated copper piping (and the prices may see extravagant for something that essentially does the same job as an untreated equivalent).

All of these types of copper piping are priced at different costs and do specific jobs, copper piping prices vary between all of these forms of copper piping and you are likely to pay more for treated forms.

So after all of this, how much of a difference are you likely to see in copper piping prices between the various types of copper piping? You are probably going to see a large difference in the price for a large job between different types of copper piping. Price differences can easily reach up to 20 cents per meter for untreated copper piping. This can easily go up to 50 cents per meter if you want a treated equivalent.
